Our proposal, "Investigation on the Case Development of Ultrasonic Microscope for Improving the Quality of Cancer Examination and Expanding Opportunities to Receive Medical Examination in Indonesia" was selected as the second SME Overseas Development Support Project by JICA in FY 2017, and we started implementing the project in July 2018.
Following the previous two travel surveys in late July and late September according to the original plan, we conducted the third field trip survey in late November.
At a national hospital in Jakarta, whose schedule had been adjusted in the previous two visits, we explained the functions of the ultrasound microscope, provided examples of its use, and demonstrated how to use it.
A total of 18 pathologists and trainee physicians from the hospital participated, and we were able to have a lively exchange of opinions on how the microscope can be used in actual medical practice.
